Have you always dreamed of becoming a wedding or event planner? Now is your opportunity to gain the skills and first hand experience from an expert in the field.

You will start by training one on one with Jill La Fleur, The Wedding Planner, and her hired Assistants, behind the scenes of planning a wedding from start to finish. You will travel with her and her couples to their many planning meetings with such vendors as florists, musicians, or searching for that perfect wedding venue. In the office, you will learn the process of coordinating a timeline for the weekend of the wedding and organizing the details of the day. From there, you will assist at the wedding itself!

Throughout this wonderful experience, you will also gain training experience on all aspects of looking for employment to starting your own wedding or event planning business, such as developing a marketing plan, obtaining a business license and name, creating a file of contacts in the industry, developing those relationships and advertising to make your name known.

Whatever you decide to do with your career, whether it is to work for a resort or with a large event planning organizing or create your own business, this experience will be what it takes to make your dreams come true.

A minimum number of hours will be required both in and out of the office in order to obtain a Certificate of Completion of the training program that you can take with you to start the career you’ve always wanted.
